The Wind101A comes programmed with an engineering unit to provide the average wind speed using a 10 second reading rate. If a different reading interval is desired, a different engineering unit must be created to properly scale pulses to wind speed.

No FontFamily Error in Windows 7

A Windows update may cause an error in Windows 7 that looks something like this:No FontFamily element found in FontFamilyCollection that matches current OS or greater:Windows7SP1

The workaround is to uninstall KB4055532 until Microsoft releases a fix for it.   The FontFamily error also appears as KB4055002, so uninstall this also.

To uninstall an update, go to Control Program – Programs – Programs and Features – Installed Updates.  Find the affected updates.  Right-click – Uninstall. 

Real-time Graph Closed and Disappeared

MadgeTech 4: When logging in real-time, data uploads to the Datasets folder automatically. After starting a logger, a real-time graph opens by default.

To open a closed real-time graph, go to the Datasets folder, search for the desired dataset by Device ID or Start time, and double-click the dataset to generate a new graph report for that dataset.

If the datapoints fall outside the graph scale, right click the graph and select Fit to View (or select it from the Report toolbar) to re-scale the graph.
