Production Supervisor

Position Summary
The role of Production Supervisor is responsible for managing a talented manufacturing team. The primary goal is to properly organize staff members and achieve a reasonable workflow throughout the day and ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner. This position includes directing, training, coaching, and assisting lower-level manufacturing employees in a factory setting. The Production Supervisor ensures that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. This position manages all employees within the department including Assembly and Final Assembly/Calibration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Lead manufacturing staff to achieve company goals by communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, and evaluating job results
  • Enforce company policies and guidelines
  • Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities
  • Implement cost-saving strategies and techniques
  • Ensure that production plans are completed by a certain time
  • Establish and implement workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising product safety or integrity
  • Assess projects and resource requirements
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for all workers
  • Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
  • Work with Engineering Department to update BOM’s and Assembly drawings as needed
  • Responsible for writing annual performance reviews for all direct reports
  • Resolve issues and disputes between manufacturing employees
  • Responsible for all work instructions pertaining to Assembly and Final Assembly/Calibration
  • Participate in production decisions concerning new product lines. Use product specifications and release dates to determine product costs and resource needs. Coordinate the production aspects of the product, including production scheduling
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ experience in manufacturing operations, and/or training. Each additional two years of experience can be substituted for one year of education
  • Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
  • Experience in various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
  • Proven record of successfully training, coaching and mentoring employees in productivity and safety
  • Ability to coach and mentor employees on a one-on-one basis as well as a group
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Electrical Engineer

As a successful candidate, you will join our team of mechanical, firmware and software engineers to create new and exciting products that push the limits of silicon devices. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Work with a team of firmware, mechanical and software engineers to improve and support the product line
  • Research, design, debug and test electronic circuits and components
  • Develop embedded firmware for new data loggers and sensors
  • Ensure reliable operation of products under extreme conditions
  • Participate in peer design reviews and program design reviews
  • Collaborating with staff and other engineers to meet project milestones
  • Coordinating and releasing design documentation and product designs to manufacturing
  • Contribute innovative and efficient design techniques to allow rapid development of new product models and features
  • Participate in all phases of product life cycle from specification to testing
  • Effectively communicate progress and problems to management and other departments
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electronic design
  • Experience in designing high efficiency power conversion circuits for low power, battery operated systems
  • Ability to design low power digital and analog circuits
  • Microchip PIC / dsPIC or similar microcontroller experience
  • Proficiency in C and assembly language programming for embedded applications
  • Proficiency with Altium Designers or equivalent CAD/CAE tools
  • Familiarity with common communication protocols (SPI, I2C, RS232, USB)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent resident

Shipping Clerk

Position Summary
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for ensuring that all shipping documents are completed accurately and in a timely fashion for shipping both nationally and internationally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Communicates via email and telephone with outbound carriers daily, providing schedule for outbound shipments and equipment as needed
  • Using a MRP system, systemically open and close shipments and prepare appropriate outbound paperwork. Ensure tracking information is entered into the MRP system
  • Ensure the accuracy of all shipping documents by strict adherence to standard operating procedures
  • Adhere to international regulations for dangerous goods shipments
  • Use Automated Export System to file for ITN
  • Assist in resolving any discrepancies
  • File outbound paperwork as needed so that it is easily accessible
  • Ensure shipping area is organized and clean at all times and meets all compliance factors
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and other company-related policies and procedures
  • Prepare export documents as necessary and ensure compliance with international shipping, and freight forwarders
  • Work with other departments to ensure accuracy of sales order paperwork
  • Performing other duties as assigned by leadership
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • Familiar with computers with basic math skills
  • Organized and able to work well under pressure
  • Adhere to oral and written instructions
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to lift packages
  • Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office. (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines
