Administration Assistant / Receptionist

Position Summary

The Administrative Assistant / Receptionist performs a variety of clerical tasks related to the customer service and our front desk. This position does include answering phones, data entry, mailings, assisting managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Performing duties as assigned.
  • Greet all visitors at the front desk.
  • Answer and transfer calls to the appropriate department.
  • Order entry.
  • Complete all mailings for the business.
  • Prepare outgoing and incoming mail.
  • Create and maintain documents.

CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer

Position Summary

MadgeTech is seeking an experienced, highly motivated CNC Programmer / Manufacturing Engineer. This position requires an engineer to identify, design, and implement improvements in our current and future products and processes. The goal is to improve quality and efficiency. The primary function is to support and develop the various processes that comprise our CNC machining department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Creating and maintaining CNC programs for Mazak, Fanuc, Hurco and Tornos machines using both conversational and CAM programming environments.
  • Design and maintenance of fixtures, tooling programs, inspection plans and related documentation.
  • Supporting and training shop personnel.
  • Streamlining the processes surrounding the manufacture of machined components including handling, deburring, cleaning and finishing.
  • Identifying and executing improvements in existing processes from both process metrics and operator feedback.
  • Support of new product development by building prototypes and working closely with design engineers.
  • Frequent interaction and coordination of information with planning, production, customer service, engineering and quality control.

Quality Inspector

Position Summary

The primary role of the quality inspector is to evaluate finished electrical devices for conformance to published specifications through functional testing using proprietary software. Additionally, this position evaluates purchased product and in-process components for compliance to requirements using calipers, micrometers or thread gages. All results are recorded, and non-conformances documented for further review.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Final inspection of data loggers and associated documentation
  • Record results and non-conformities in database
  • Generate and distribute weekly and monthly reports from database
  • Inspect in-process components against design specifications
  • Issue calibration and conformance certificates
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Production Assembler

Position Summary

The Production Assembler perform a variety of tasks including assembly of various components. Using hand tools and air tools to ensure that specifications are met. Assemble components and final product.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Quick learner, able to grasp concepts by looking at drawings, assemblies or written instructions.
  • Assemble mechanical systems, print labels and install components.
  • Operate laser engraving machine
  • Identify shortages in production and react immediately.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Stage orders for shipment.
  • Mark and tag bad product so that inventory can be adjusted.
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Knowledge in printed circuit board related processes – soldering, cleaning, and repairing.
  • Knowledge of SMT processes.
  • A good understanding of IPC Standards that pertain to the SMT process.
  • Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, knowledge of standards in electronic components handling preferred.
  • Be able to work from blueprints, process sheets, a sample or other work instructions.
  • Comply with all department and company rules.
  • Excellent hand and eye dexterity/coordination.
  • Working with extremely small parts using magnifying lenses and small hand tools.
  • Attention to detail is critical.
  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal supervision.
  • SMT Machine Operating: 5 years.

Probe Technician

Position Summary

The Probe Technician will be responsible for hands-on building and testing of probes. The Probe Technician will also maintain equipment and use troubleshooting skills to read and interpret circuit board specification documents. The Probe Technician will help in the effort of bringing all MadgeTech probes in house.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Responsible for operating the FP crimping machine.
  • Ability to use assembly drawings and work instructions to build all products within the probe department.
  • Ability to operate all wire stripping equipment within the probe department.
  • Responsible for operating test equipment that measures pressure and strength integrity.
  • Ability to use arc welder and soldering irons when needed.
  • Ability to operate the lathe equipment within the probe department.
  • Inspects probes, using microscope, to detect defects, such as loose wiring and loose, split, or worn probes.
  • Observes probe through microscope and aligns probes in specified position.
  • Ability to operate Kiln, solder pot, and heat gun.
  • Ability to use Fishnar dispensing equipment.
  • Work in close collaboration Probe Lead to define process improvements within the probe department.
  • Support continuous improvement through participation of ISO 9001.
  • Rapid problem-solving process, initiation and implementation of Continuous Improvement (CI) and challenging themselves and others to continuously look for ways to do things better.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Electronic wiring and soldering skills.
  • Mechanical ability.
  • Assembly work in a manufacturing environment; where blue print reading is required.
  • Ability to apply discretion and trust with confidential material.
  • Ability to effectively apply analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time managing skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Education and Experience:

Two-year certificate or degree from a college or technical school and 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experienced with the manipulation of small parts
