The PRTemp1000D is a rugged pressure and temperature data logger designed to accurately monitor and record pressure and temperature at user programmable reading intervals. The rugged stainless steel design allows for the device to be placed in harsh environments, which makes it well suited for use with air conditioning systems, chilled water, hot water, air, gas, oil and steam pressure systems.

The internal temperature sensor provides accurate temperature measurements without the need for a separate temperature data logger. The logger can be started to take measurements as often as every two seconds, up to one reading every twelve hours. It will store up to 16,383 readings in its non-volatile memory. The PRTemp1000D uses a rugged stainless steel pressure strain gauge to accurately measure the pressure. The device comes standard with a 1/4 in NPT differential fitting. There are many different pressure ranges available to fit most any application.

    Chevron Geothermal Philippines is installing MadgeTech PRTEMP1000 pressure recorders and PRTEMP1000D differential pressure recorders at remote locations in the MakBan and Tiwi geothermal fields, Philippines to record data from orifice plate installations used to measure hot water and steam flow rates. The MadgeTech units are replacing circular paper chart recorders, from which the differential pressure data must presently be read manually, and are expected to improve the monitoring of changes in flow rates by providing digital data at preset time intervals that can be downloaded directly to an EXCEL spreadsheet for analysis. The small size of the units also simplifies installation while battery operation, with a service life of over 1 year, means that it will not be necessary to provide external power sources at the measurement locations.
