The PRTemp1000 is a rugged pressure data logger designed to accurately monitor and record pressure and temperature parameters at user programmable reading intervals. The rugged stainless steel design allows for the device to be placed in harsh environments, which makes it well suited for use with air conditioning systems, chilled water, hot water, air, gas, oil and steam pressure systems.

The internal temperature sensor provides accurate temperature measurements without the need for a separate temperature recorder. The logger can be started to take measurements as often as every two seconds, up to one reading every twelve hours. It will store up to 16,383 readings in its non-volatile memory.

The PRTemp1000 uses a rugged stainless steel pressure strain gauge to accurately measure the pressure. The device comes standard with a ¼ in NPT fitting, which allows the logger to be connected to almost any pressure adapter.

There are many different pressure ranges available to fit most any application. The standard pressure ranges are 30 PSIA (G), 100 PSIA (G), 300 PSIA (G), 500 PSIA (G), 1000 PSIA and 5000 PSIA. Other ranges may also be available upon request.

  1. PRTemp1000 for submerged water pressure Review by S Bechard

    We have been using the PRTemp1000 at geothermal plants for over 5 years and will continue using it. Since we had some challenges with the L2000 device for long term submerged static water levels, we thought we would try the PRTemp1000 for this application (within its pressure range of course). Our results show that the device is probably not best suited for this (accuracy) - just thought we would share this info re multi-uses for the device. (Posted on 3/8/13)

    Chevron Geothermal Philippines is installing MadgeTech PRTEMP1000 pressure recorders and PRTEMP1000D differential pressure recorders at remote locations in the MakBan and Tiwi geothermal fields, Philippines to record data from orifice plate installations used to measure hot water and steam flow rates. The MadgeTech units are replacing circular paper chart recorders, from which the differential pressure data must presently be read manually, and are expected to improve the monitoring of changes in flow rates by providing digital data at preset time intervals that can be downloaded directly to an EXCEL spreadsheet for analysis. The small size of the units also simplifies installation while battery operation, with a service life of over 1 year, means that it will not be necessary to provide external power sources at the measurement locations.
