Throughout a decade of economic recession and sluggish recovery, the craft beer movement has continued to blossom as a testament to American industry and artisanal ingenuity. In a move to protect this job-creating industry, over 100 members of congress led by Erik Paulsen of Minnesota, Dan Newhouse of Washington, Peter DeFazio of Oregon and Chelli Pingree of Maine are petitioning the federal government to increase funding for the study of hops.
