A full-time position is available for a highly motivated Purchasing Agent to negotiate vendor terms, pricing and schedule delivery.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Adhere to purchasing policies, process flows and procedures.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, and practices of principles of purchasing.
  • Negotiate best vendor terms, pricing and delivery bases on schedule.
  • Create purchase orders, work with suppliers to obtain pricing and specifications.
  • Monitor and expedite orders.
  • Planning and control information by collecting and analyzing data and trends.
  • Forecast levels of demand for services and products to meet business need.
  • Constant check on stock levels by using company ERP system.
  • Liaise between suppliers and company internal departments.
  • Work with Quality Manager in qualifying vendors.
  • Ability to assess technical specifications, materials and components to conclude if competitive vendor products match MadgeTech specifications.
  • Work with Production Manager on backlog, and upcoming orders to prioritize, plan production to ensure on time delivery is met.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Supply Management
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Extremely detailed oriented with strong organization skills.
  • Training or APICS certification Courses preferred not required.
  • Adapt well to a fast pace ever changing environment.

Customer Service Representative - Receptionist

A full-time position is available for a highly motivated individual with a positive supportive attitude to contribute to the growth by serving as a principal link between the company and customers.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Operate multi-line telephone system to answer, screen and forward calls, take messages, and provide information.
  • Confer with MadgeTech customers to provide information about products and services, create accounts, or to obtain details of customer inquiries.
  • Accurately enter sales orders received by phone, email, fax and the sales team.
  • Contact MadgeTech customers to respond to inquiries and follow-up on sales orders.
  • Keep records of MadgeTech customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as corrective action.
  • Determine charges for product and services requested and arrange for payment terms.
  • Follow through to ensure that appropriate changes are made to resolve customer inquiries.
  • Review backlog regularly to ensure accuracy and work with necessary departments to release order hold discrepancies.
  • Interface with some aspects of the organization including accounting, manufacturing and sales.
  • Perform in a timely manner other job-related duties, specific projects and tasks, as assigned by management.
  • Ensure process export compliance planning by reviewing US Export Regulation changes to determine impacts on company.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

Quality Inspector

A full-time position is available for a highly-motivated individual to work as a Quality Inspector that will maintain quality standards by approving incoming and outgoing products.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Approve incoming and outgoing products by confirming specifications.
  • Ability to follow specifications, work orders, and reports to determine material requirements and assembly instructions.
  • Approve in process production by confirming specifications; communicate required improvements to production supervisor.
  • Approve finished products and evaluate returned products for rework.
  • Report problems or issues to Production Manager.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to facilitate production activities.
  • Liaise between the production and shipping department.
  • Analyze information.
  • Report and research results.
  • Promote process improvement.
  • Manage processes.
  • Inspect outgoing sales orders, RMA’s and calibration orders.
  • Inspect incoming parts.
  • Review the information submitted by customers on incoming RMA’s.
  • Perform in-process testing of sub-assemblies.
  • Document and maintain the results of the all inspections and testing.
  • Initiate the NCMR process for non-conforming parts.
  • Write SOP’s for the inspection process.
  • Maintain a master list of inspection requirements for outgoing orders.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

The Quality Inspector should be able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Multi-task with the ability to respond to changing priorities are important in this role.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required
  • 2+ years’ experience working as a Quality Inspector preferred
  • Work effectively in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail

As a successful candidate, you’ll join our team of mechanical, firmware and software engineers to create new and exciting products that push the limits of silicon devices. Our products are exposed to the toughest environments and we pride ourselves on creating the most robust designs. You will already be familiar with digital and analog design, PCB layout and circuit simulation and testing. You will keep up to date on the state of the art, including RF technologies such as Zigbee and Wi-Fi, and green technologies. Required Tasks:

  • Work with a team of firmware, mechanical and software engineers to improve and support the product line.
  • Research, design, debug and test electronic circuits and components.
  • Develop embedded firmware for new data loggers and sensors.
  • Ensure reliable operation of products under extreme conditions.
  • Integrate electronic hardware, firmware, and software into complete systems.
  • Develop test fixtures and assist in transferring designs to manufacturing.
  • Contribute innovative and efficient design techniques to allow rapid development of new product models and features.
  • Participate in all phases of product life cycle from specification to testing.
  • Effectively communicate progress and problems to management and other departments.

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in electronic design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to design low power digital and analog circuits.
  • Microchip PIC / dsPIC or similar microcontroller experience.
  • Proficiency in C and assembly language programming for embedded applications.
  • Familiarity with software design tools for electrical schematics, simulation and PCB layout.
  • Familiarity with common communication protocols (SPI, I2C, RS232, USB).
  • Must be a US Citizen or Permanent resident.
