Accounting Assistant

MadgeTech, Inc., a leader in data logger technology, is seeking an Accounting Assistant with a “Can Do” attitude to work in a fast paced, challenging, team-oriented environment. A full-time position is available for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the growth by serving as a principal link with the accounting department.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records.
  • Update and maintain accounting journals, ledgers and other records detailing financial business transactions.
  • Enter data into computer system using defined computer programs, MRP system and Quick Books.
  • Compile data and prepare a variety of reports as necessary.
  • Reconcile records with internal company employees and management, or external vendors or customers.
  • Recommend actions to resolve discrepancies.
  • Investigate questionable data.
  • Various AR/AP clerk duties.
  • Heavy data entry (bills, invoices, etc.)
  • Input daily cash receipts and perform bank reconciliations.
  • Assist with answering phones, and filing.

Desired Requirements:

  • Post-secondary certificate in finance or related discipline. 3+ years accounting experience, Quick Books, MRP experience a plus.
  • Applicant should be able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Multi-tasking and the ability to respond to changing priorities are important in this role.
  • Applicants should have proficiency in working with Windows, Microsoft Office, and the ability to learn new software packages and tools quickly.
  • Well organized and self- starter, ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Content Writer

Marketing Content Writer will play a vital role in researching and writing compelling content targeting industry specific customers through multiple marketing channels. The content writer will collaborate closely with other marketing team members, sales, and other internal departments to execute tasks to be a driving force for high impact content across the entire company. The content writer will report to the Marketing Manager.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research and content writing for the following:
    • Product specification sheets
    • Website product and landing pages
    • Distributor sell sheets and web portal
    • Product user guides and manuals
    • Application and technical notes
    • Press releases
    • Blog posts
    • Newsletters
    • Articles
    • Software support materials
    • Email marketing
  • Independent market research
  • Presentation of statistics and findings (reports in various formats)
  • Product release tasks as needed
  • Miscellaneous campaign support tasks
  • Proofing and editing any content for publishing in print or online
  • Repurposing and optimization of existing content
  • Ensuring content is aligned with stages of the buyer’s journey

  • Strategic thinker and proven team player with effective communication and collaboration skills across multiple internal departments.
  • Extremely organized with strong project management skills.
  • Success establishing efficient workflow and process.

Firmware Engineer

This position will report to the Director of Engineering.

As a successful candidate, you’ll join our team of mechanical, hardware and software engineers to create new and exciting products that push the limits of silicon devices. Our products are exposed to the toughest environments and we pride ourselves on creating the most robust designs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, write, debug and release embedded microcontroller firmware for new data loggers and sensors.
  • Integrate electronic hardware, firmware, and software into complete systems.
  • Identify root cause and resolve firmware issues in existing products.
  • Ensure reliable operation of products under extreme conditions.
  • Work with a team of electrical, mechanical and software engineers to improve and support the product line.
  • Develop manufacturing test code and assist in transferring designs to manufacturing.
  • Effectively communicate progress and problems to management and other departments.
  • Participate in all phases of product life cycle from specification to testing.
  • Contribute innovative and efficient design techniques to allow rapid development of new product models and features.
  • Create and maintain documentation and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and assembly language programming for embedded applications.
  • Experience with Microchip PIC / ARM or similar microcontrollers.
  • Experience with common communication protocols. (SPI, I2C, RS232, USB)
  • Experience with sensors, transducers, analog to digital conversion, displays, power supplies and batteries.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Desired Experience:

  • Communication technologies (ZigBee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, 802.15.4, 802.11.x)
  • Graphical user interface (GUI) development.
  • Digital signal processing and wireless design.
  • Low Power design.
  • Experience with software design tools for electrical schematics, simulation and PCB layout.

Production Technician - Second Shift

MadgeTech, Inc., a leader in data logger technology, is seeking an individual with a “Can Do” attitude to work in a busy, challenging, team-oriented environment. A full-time position is available for a highly motivated individual to work as a Production Technician on second shift.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Calibrate data loggers.
  • Follow MadgeTech specifications, work orders, and reports to determine materials requirements and assembly instructions.
  • Assemble, label, install components, subassemblies, wiring, and assembly casings, Drill and tap holes in specified equipment locations to insert or mount control units, and to provide openings for elements, wiring, and instruments.
  • Inspect and test wiring installations, assemblies, and circuits for resistance factors and for operation; and record results.
  • Mark and tag components so that stock inventory can be tracked and identified.
  • Stage orders for shipment.
  • Report problems or issues to second shift Team Lead.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area to facilitate production activities.
  • Perform other tasks as needed, willing to work overtime as necessary and authorized.
  • Ability to work in a multifunction position.
  • Basic computer skills required.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities):

  • Equivalent combination of education and/or experience will be considered.
  • Work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow procedures and identify process improvements.
  • Aptitude for math and knowledge of testing equipment.
  • Effective communication skills.
