MadgeTech Inc. is looking for a highly motivated Firmware Engineer to help create the next generation of data loggers, sensors and accessories. As a successful candidate, you’ll join our team of mechanical, hardware and software engineers to create new and exciting products that push the limits of silicon devices. Our products are exposed to the toughest environments and we pride ourselves on creating the most robust designs. You will already be familiar with embedded devices and real-time operating systems, and you thrive on creating fast efficient code, but at MadgeTech you’ll hone your skills regarding low-power design, measurement techniques and theory and advanced signal processing.

Required Tasks: 

  • Work with a team of electrical, mechanical and software engineers to improve and support the product line
  • Design, write, debug and release embedded microcontroller firmware for new data loggers and sensors
  • Identify root cause and resolve firmware issues in existing products
  • Ensure reliable operation of products under extreme conditions
  • Integrate electronic hardware, firmware, and software into complete systems
  • Develop manufacturing test code and assist in transferring designs to manufacturing
  • Effectively communicate progress and problems to management and other departments
  • Participate in all phases of product life cycle from specification to testing
  • Contribute innovative and efficient design techniques to allow rapid development of new product models and features
  • Create and maintain documentation and procedures to ensure consistency and efficiency

 

Requirements:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field
  • Proficiency in C and assembly language programming for embedded applications
  • Familiarity with Microchip PIC / dsPIC / ARM or similar microcontrollers
  • Familiarity with common communication protocols (SPI, I2C, RS232, USB)
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills, detail-oriented, organization skills, problem solving and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work both independently or on a team
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States

 

Desired Experience:

  • Wireless technologies (ZigBee, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi)
  • Common networking protocols (TCP/IP, 802.15.4, 802.11.x)
  • Experience with Qt and embedded Linux is a plus
  • Graphical user interface (GUI) development
  • Digital signal processing and wireless design
  • Experience with sensors, transducers, analog to digital conversion, displays, power supplies and batteries
  • Ability to design low power digital and analog circuits
  • Familiarity with software design tools for electrical schematics, simulation and PCB layout
  • Microsoft Windows programming

Responsibilities: 

  • Operate machines and learn all required functions
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints
  • Know how to use inspection equipment

  • Perform manual deburring operations

  • Lifting and moving of heavy items and putting away stock

Customer Service Representative - Receptionist

A full-time position is available for a highly motivated individual to contribute to the growth by serving as a principal link between the company and customers..

Responsibilities: 

  • Operate multi-line telephone system to answer, screen and forward calls, take messages, and provide information
  • Confer with MadgeTech customers to provide information about products and services, create accounts, or to obtain details of customer inquiries
  • Accurately enter sales orders received by phone, email, fax and the sales team
  • Contact MadgeTech customers to respond to inquiries and follow-up on sales orders
  • Keep records of MadgeTech customer interactions and transactions, recording details of inquiries, complaints, and comments, as well as corrective action
  • Determine charges for product and services requested and arrange for payment terms
  • Follow through to ensure that appropriate changes are made to resolve customer inquiries
  • Review backlog regularly to ensure accuracy and work with necessary departments to release order hold discrepancies
  • Interface with some aspects of the organization including accounting, manufacturing and sales
  • Perform in a timely manner other job-related duties, specific projects and tasks, as assigned by management
  • Ensure process export compliance planning by reviewing US Export Regulation changes to determine impacts on company

Sales Representative

A full-time position is available for a highly motivated sales representative, challenging, team-oriented environment. The sales representative will be responsible for mastering the function and features of both the hardware and software solutions offered by the company. The sales representative position will report to the Sales Manager.


Job Functions:

  • Source sales opportunities through inbound leads, and outbound cold calls, and email
  • Contact existing customers to discuss their regulatory compliance needs, and explain the compliance tools offered by specific MadgeTech products and services
  • Identify prospective customers by using business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating, and attending trade shows and conferences
  • Select the correct products or assist customers in making product selections, based on customers' needs, product specifications, and applicable regulatory compliance requirements
  • Emphasize product features based on analyses of customers' needs, and on technical knowledge of product capabilities and limitations
  • Ability to understand online marketing, MadgeTech products' value to our customers, as well as the competitive landscape
  • Answer customers' questions about products, prices, availability, product uses, and credit terms
  • Negotiate prices and terms of sales and service agreements
  • Prepare sales contracts for orders obtained, and submit orders to customer service for processing.
  • Maintain customer records, using automated systems
  • Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as selling strategies and marketing information
  • Responsible for learning and mastering details regarding regulatory compliance and industry applications, which impact how the product is used
  • Willingness and ability to travel


Qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent with 5 plus years’ experience
  • Track record of meeting quota
  • Strong phone presence and experience with managing multiple calls per day
  • Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
  • Ability to learn and apply technical product information in the sales environment
  • Proven track record of successful telephone and in-person sales
  • Strong written and verbal skills a MUST
  • Sales training or solution selling training a PLUS
  • An upbeat, positive, “can do” attitude is a must

Documentation Specialist

MadgeTech, Inc., a leader in data logger technology, is seeking an individual with a “Can Do” attitude to work in a busy, challenging, team-oriented environment. A full-time position is available for a highly-motivated individual to work as a Documentation Specialist. The Documentation Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that documentation and practices conform to regulatory standards and that processes to release documentation are defined and controlled. The Documentation Specialist will report to the Quality Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • File management, including requesting and uploading documents from customers, organization and maintenance of project files, including ECOs and travelers, BOM comparisons and CAR administration.
  • Perform daily entries and monitoring within the MRP system, loading BOMs, creating part numbers, and other tasks necessary to ensure accuracy and timeliness of data.
  • Participate as a member of the internal ISO documentation team: manage process including the addition of new procedures, regular review of and updates to existing procedures, as well as keeping up to date on the MadgeTech filing structure and best practices.
  • Participate as a member of the internal auditing team: perform internal audits, and participate in customer audits as needed.
  • Other tasks as assigned or as necessary.


Qualifications (knowledge, skills, and abilities)

  • The Documentation Specialist should be able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Multi-task with the ability to respond to changing priorities are important in this role.
  • Strong administrative experience in a manufacturing environment.
  •  Understanding of bill of materials, lot numbers and a variety of measurements.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and distractions.
  • Must be a teamwork player with ability to work independently and successfully manage   
  • time.
  • Good organization and time management skills.

 

Some college preferred; with two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
